A responsibility is the same, whether paid or not.
So don't ever skip out on a responsibility with the lame excuse, "Well, I'm not getting paid anyway."
If you gave your word....do it.
If people are counting on your commitment....do it.
If you are lying on your death bed and could still get the job done....do it.
